Our History
The G2 Builders concept was founded in 1999, by Oscar Garcia, Jimmy Garcia and Ragu Sada.
A quote from our President, Oscar, best describes the eternal founding commitment: “Our word is our bond”. This founding tenet evolved into a philosophy of hiring the best and brightest, timely paying our obligations, creating partnerships with the supply community and being selective for who we apply our craft.
From 1999 to 2003, G2 grew from sales of $300,000 to approximately $20,000,000, completing retail, office, industrial and design/build work in the Chicagoland area. In the same period, the company started three separate self-performance divisions – masonry, concrete, and carpentry. The self-performance divisions completed work for G2 as well as over 30 other contractors around the Chicagoland area.
The company continued to grow throughout Illinois and Indiana from 2003 to 2006 and during that span started to focus on new business sectors including medical and residential. From 2006 to 2009, G2 opened its first office outside of Illinois and provided construction management services in Las Vegas and San Diego on over $200 Million dollars in construction.
In 2009, G2 moved its Las Vegas Vegas Operations to Austin, TX and now operates out of its Hanover Park and Austin office primarily. The next decade is focused growth of G2 Builders and continuing to help our clients achieve success by letter them focus on their business while we build their facilities.
