Oscar Garcia’s experience in the construction industry encompasses more than 30 years and numerous projects throughout the Midwest. Oscar Garcia founded G2 Builders 12 years ago and never looked back. Oscar holds numerous licenses throughout Chicago land and believes the only way to have a successful company is to have a lot of happy, satisfied customers.
Before founding G2 Builders, Oscar led Matrix Construction, a $40+ million dollar design/build firm specializing in Commercial and Industrial projects. He has always been an entrepreneur as prior to that he built from the ground up a fifty-man maintenance/cleaning service working with Fortune 1000 clients all over Illinois.

Oscar also handles the extensive accounting/management needed for our construction firm and constantly uses his knowledge to accommodate the growth of G2 Builders. Oscar set a goal for G2 to be the “best paying” contractor in Chicago. This translates into better pricing for our clients and offers a fantastic place for G2 Associates to work.
Oscar is still intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of G2 Builders. He works tirelessly to make sure we are using quality subcontractors, writing quality contracts, and exceeding our customer’s expectations. Excellence is more than a wish; it’s a pursuit that never stops and Oscar is the driver in G2’s pursuit of excellence.
Oscar started his career in the U.S. marines and uses that discipline every day in his work. Oscar has been married to his lovely wife, Lorraine for over 20 years. They have two daughters and one son who recently graduated from college. Oscar is a strong believer in giving back to the community in order to make Chicago a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
